KELT-9b Expedition
Journey to the edge of physics. Witness a gas giant hotter than most stars, where vaporized heavy metals rain down upon the nightside.
The Scorching Giant
KELT-9b is the hottest known gas giant exoplanet in the universe. Located roughly 670 light-years from Earth, this massive world orbits its host star in less than 36 hours. Because of its extreme proximity, the planet is tidally locked, meaning one side always faces the blazing heat of its star.
With temperatures reaching 4,600 Kelvin on its dayside, KELT-9b is hotter than transition-metal stars. Its atmosphere contains vaporized iron, titanium, and sodium. The extreme stellar radiation tears molecules apart into individual atoms on the dayside, which then recombine as they flow to the cooler, dark nightside, producing spectacular iron-laden precipitation.

What Orbit Means
Orbit means travelling to a station that circles the planet instead of landing on its surface. The experience offers stable orbital accommodations, scenic views of the world below, and easy access to space operations.
